I have just read "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy". I like John le Carre from watching interviews with him and reading essays by him. He had his head screwed on straight.
It's the first time in ages that I've read any fiction, or indeed done anything much for myself.
When this website was new, in about 2003/4, it used to have a list of books I'd read, with a brief review. It also had a Thought for the Day and some "about the author" stuff. It's gone ( I lost control of the domain for a while around 2010 ), and my only backup is on a portable hard drive locked in storage shed I can't get at. Ah well. Sic transit gloria mundi. Back then it was straight html, no active back end, not even any css.
Today I uploaded my first ever YouTube video. I feel quite energised by that. I think it's important to create things (even very simple things).
